Hi there! I think you followed me on tumblr fairly recently, probably because of the Good Omen stuff I post? In any case I'm glad you see you on here, too, I've been playing around with this site for a few days and I kinda like it.

Hooray! Glad to see you here too! I'm very recently into Good Omens, following my David Tennant love across media, and so far I adore it. I like this site too! It's got the feel of a good book club, to me.

Would you believe I got into David Tennant through Good Omens and not the other way around? lmao I had watched the Tenth Doctor's run on DW when I was first getting into the show in like 2011 but I wasn't particularly invested because I started with Matt Smith and sort of wanted to get caught up to more Matt Smith. It's extremely funny to me that DT is playing one of my favorite characters and so *now* I'm getting into him. So many people in the tumblr Good Omens fandom are like "it's 2012 all over again, people are crushing on DT on main and the whole website is broken" and I'm like "this is mostly new to me, yall".

ANYway YAY! Welcome to Good Omens, I adore this book and I'm probably going to be posting some stuff about it on here or at the very least using this as yet another platform to hype up my own fic lol.

Aw thanks! And YES I’ll be very much looking forward to seeing your fic links and/fangirling. I think DT is an acting genius, I’m a little too lesbian to get hot and bothered over him but I’ll watch him act in literally anything (hugely recommend his run in Much Ado About Nothing, with Catherine Tate, for humor, or his take on Hamlet for drama, if you like Shakespeare at all). And I think his Crowley ang this Aziraphale are going to have fantastic energy together. We have good things to look forward to 🤓

Mhm, he's a very good actor. I'm generally not attracted to much of anybody, although his vampire slayer character in the 2011 remake of Fright Night is a little too much My Type to not be. I mostly watched that movie because Tennant said in an interview that of all the characters he's played in the past, that role was the most similar to how he was playing Crowley; I'm anticipating crushing hard when the show comes out if that turns out to be true.

I've been meaning to watch Much Ado, David Tennant and Catherine Tate play off of each other so well. I'd probably call myself a casual Shakespeare fan, I think I first got interested in Shakespeare because there were so many Shakespeare references in Star Trek titles lol. I did take a whole course on Shakespeare in college, though, and my favorite play from that year was Twelfth Night. Hamlet has been on my "to read" list forever so maybe I'll just watch David Tennant in it instead if I can find it somewhere.

I'm so excited for the show! I'm trying to find somewhere to host images that I can embed here, because while I'm not a great gifmaker by any definition I do really like putting them together and when the show comes out I want to be sure I'll be able to post them somewhere even if tumblr completely collapses.

A casual Shakespeare fan! That’s me. I read Hamlet between high school and college, and I remember enjoying the wordplay and the pithiness of the serious bits. The tragedy of it didn’t hit me till I watched Tennant play it this year, though. I don’t know if that’s because I’m older, because of the heart he put into it, or just because the plays are meant to be watched, not read: half the soul is in the seeing of them.

I regret not knowing anything about making gifs or posting images, but I certainly enjoy the fruits of others’ labors with them. And Crowley and Aziraphale’s character designs were done so well for the show—I want to see as much of them as possible. Aziraphale’s look is more what I’m into, though: academic and messy about the hair.

Gosh, don't even get me started on Aziraphale's look in the show. People keep trash-talking the costuming on tumblr but I'm in love with it, I love how Crowley looks like he's trying to stay hip with the goth scene but is aging out of it and I love how Aziraphale looks like he's planned his wardrobe around the archetypical image of the absentminded professor. I've never seen a human man who dresses like Aziraphale in real life, he looks like he's watched too many genre movies set in the Victorian era or like he was dressed by some twenty-something butches. I'm grinning just thinking about it. I'm so FOND of these characters, but Aziraphale especially <3
